It is Friday....

When one asks "What is your favourite day?", most people will say Friday! Well it is the beginning of the weekend, and all of us a looking for a short break.

Yesterday, I took a sneak at the shops and saw that maroon & burgundy colour is coming back for Autumn (my favourite as well).

Since I am talking about colours, I predict that mostly earth tones will be "in" this Autumn...and of course lets not forget the grey colour that sneaked into our wardrobes some years ago.
Black...what shall we say it is a "colour" that always finds it's place regardless of the seasons.
And since red is also making a come back (not only as a colour of a garment but also in beauty/lip colour) make sure to find your shade.

Don't forget those red lips;-)
Chanel Fall 2010
To complete the look the girl needs Accessories, right? Well in case you have already stocked on the lace-up boots (both heel and flat), ankle boots and biker boots; you are all set.
Of course, we always need to ensure that it really can be re-used again this season, so I suggest that you still go ahead and find that perfect pair for this season (was that convincing enough excuse to purchase a new pair of shoes?;-))

And then, of course one needs a bag as well...here the trend is rectangular shapes...but I like the school bag look of Mulberry

All this talk about the upcoming season and clothes has left me with a sudden urge to run out and do some shopping...Speaking of shopping I have managed to find my over-the-knee boots and a military jacket (the burgundy hat is still to be found)
A word of advice, those boots are running hot if you found a pair you like grab them now!

Wishing you nice and sunny Friday!

Essentials...

Back from vacation and already have the blues....the weather is also playing up.
Imagine coming back from ten perfectly sunny days, with clear blue sea and lovely weather to rainy and cloudy Vienna...ahhhhhh

The shops are already proudly showing the new autumn collection (does not really help me get out of the blues) and since I feel like autum, I am still dying to get my hands on those leather leggings...which by the way I predicted would be a trend already last winter.

So, with that said I found a decent pair that does not cost you an arm and a leg (well maybe just an arm;-)...it is from a brand called ARMA and I would suggest getting a one size smaller then you usually wear.

Last year, I had my eye on over-the-knee boots, but I found it absolutely impossible to find a pair in Vienna. I do have to admit I was very particular what I wanted (hey, I like to invest in a pair that will not end up in basement in a year's time). So, if you do have a chance and some luck go and hunt down a pair (nice would be black suede flats) that will serve you for the seasons to come.

Have you noticed how some trends have just stuck around for years now....for example, platforms, leggings, over-the-knee boots, military jackets/coats (in again!), pencil skirts, big shoulders ala Balmain.....

Speaking of military style, would be wise to invest in a nice coat. I saw the other day some ads for Burberry winter jackets...hmmm

Burberry

and of course you need something underneath the coats so I would like to get my hands on this dress from Antonio Berardi

Have you noticed I already switched to Autumn....see that is what I mean...I have the blues...and on that note I bid your farewell...till the sun comes out again!

Adieu!

Fashion....a must or just another craze?

It took me quite some time to get to this medium as communication tool and to re-think what do I think about fashion.
I have a love and hate relationship with Fashion. At best, I can predict the trends before you see them in the Fashion mags at worst I chose to create my own trend and not be the follower in another words make your own style.

So in case you are looking for a change.....find me;-)
